We’ve been working on protecting net neutrality for years, and it looks like February 26th will be a decisive day. That’s when the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) will vote on new rules to reclassify broadband and mobile networks as public utilities and enshrine net neutrality for years to come.
This is the most important free speech issue of our time, and I need you to speak up.
Between now and February 26th, I want the FCC to know how many of us support net neutrality. I’m partnering with the Minnesota Democratic-Farmer-Labor Party to help push net neutrality over the finish line — will you add your name to mine?
Net neutrality means a level playing field; losing net neutrality means giving big corporations way too much control over the speed different content is delivered to you online.
You should sign our petition and support the FCC’s proposed rules. In fact, the only reason I can think of why you wouldn’t sign our petition is that you’re a lobbyist for one of the big internet service providers (if that’s you, hi, and welcome).
Thanks for your support on this. I know it’s been a long slog, but we’re closing in on a victory. Let’s keep the pressure on.
