The Huffington Post is working on a project to document the nationwide impact of the government’s budget cuts, otherwise known as the sequester.
Since those cuts began in early March, The Huffington Post has written about some of the effects they’ve had, from layoffs and furloughs, to the closure of Head Start programs, the reduction in Meals on Wheels programs, and the scaling back of government-dependent medical research projects.
The HuffPost Open Reporting Team wants to know what the budget cuts have meant for you.
If you or someone you know has been affected by reductions to these or other programs, or has been laid off or furloughed, they’d like to hear your story.Give them a call at 860-348-3376, and you can leave a message to record your story in your own words.
You can also send them a note at firstname.lastname@example.org. Please be sure to include your name and phone number. Your name will never be published or any identifying details without your permission.
